Pedestal Fans

Most pedestal fans operate at around 45 to 55 decibels, which is about the same as a normal conversation. Premium models like ours at Vortex Air runs with an even quieter motor at just 35 decibels. This means with our pedestal fans you shouldn't need to do anything to make them even quieter.

Not at all. Pedestal fans are one of the most energy efficient ways to stay cool at home. Most models use between 30 and 80 watts per hour, depending on the speed setting. While they don’t lower the actual temperature in the room, they help air move more efficiently and make the space feel cooler. This often reduces the need to switch on your air conditioning.

There's no doubt a well designed pedestal fan (like ours) can noticeably cut your energy use. All Vortex Air models are built with low-energy motors and eco-friendly modes, helping you stay comfortable whilst keeping your bills low.

Firstly, our Vortex Air Pedestal fans should not wobble or slide, our engineering/design team have built them that way.

A pedestal fan stands tall on a slim pole which needs a sturdy base to stay balanced. Some cheaper models come with lightweight plastic bases that may slide on hard floors or shake when running at high speed. Ours has a big sturdy base and the option to adjust the pole to reduce the fan's height, resulting in a solid fan with little to no wobbles.

We do recommend regular cleaning keeps your fan working well and helps it stay quiet and stable. It's a good idea to give it a cwipe over around once a month. Cleaning is quick and easy and shouldn't take any longer than 2 minutes. Oh, and you can relax knowing our fans have a 2 year warranty!
